About Us

"When young brothers Miguel (19) and Sergio (21) de Abreu took on the mammoth task of running the family business soon after the passing of their father, the two were equipped with merely passion and dedication to make it work. Having been thrown in the deep end and still new to the industry, the brothers' skills were refined each day under the mentorship of their father's trusted technician and loyal business partner, Jerry Zulu. Both brothers then qualified as armature winders. Later the business welcomed mom Maria, who completed the team. On the passing of Zulu and later Sergio, long-time family friend Leonardo da Silva joined the management team. Now, over two decades later, Kuthula Rewind is the longest standing, third generation armature winding company in Richards Bay.
